and deserve to be celebrated for that. So with that thought in my heart, I created this card upon request from one of my mom's friends. Last time I was there, she asked me to specifically make some friends cards for her and I'm going there this weekend so I created a couple along the way and set them aside. Yesterday I made this one, and I really love it.
I got a few new dies recently so I tried three of them for this card. Two are by Spellbinders Shapeabilities called Botanical Swirls and Spiral Blossom One (the bigger flower). Botanical Swirls creates the background for flowers and it was pretty easy to use, only a few areas that didn't cut well and had to be carved with an exacto. That's to be expected on intricate detail though. The third die was by Die-namics and is very similar to the Spellbinders just smaller flowers. It's called Mini Royal Roses and actually comes with two smaller dies.
The little flowers on the top left and bottom right are paper pieced. I printed the image three times, fussy cut them, and built them on top of the original image.
Isn't that pattern gorgeous?
