I needed a pin cushion to display all my pins. I'm not a sewing person so I din't have one. Never fear! Dollar tree here I come. I bough a round candle holder as the base, some clear glass gems, and a Styrofoam ball. Put it all together with some fabric, ribbon, flowers, and leaves and what do you get? A shabby flower pin cushion!
Front
Top, you can sort of see the fabric at the bottom from which the colors were chosen for the flowers.
And the back. Pretty huh? It's not exactly what I had n my mind but for a quick 30 minute project (minus shopping time) I think it turned out pretty darn pretty :)
Supplies:
Candle holder, gems, and Styrofoam ball - Dollar Tree
Ribbon and Leave trim - Really Reasonable Ribbon
Shabby Ribbon at the bottom is from Wal-mart, I don't know the brand as it was by the yard.
Fabric - from my stash
Lace trim - Celebrate It
Flowers - Michael's, The Paper Studio, and Recollections
