Rain if you won't go away....

Well it's been raining for 2 days here. For me it's like a tranquilizer. I just want to curl up in bed and read or sleep. I really need sunshine! In my alter personality...Super Weather Girl I pay homage so I can have nice weather all the time. My friend Super Swinger Girl helps me.

See how nice the weather is?
No?
All you notice is the girl falling down?
Well really she's saying thank you to Mother Earth for the nice day! tsk,tsk...nay sayers!

Well I tried to make you believe I could do it so I guess instead I'll show you my card for rainy days. At the CDAC the Progressive challenge this month is a series of images. When you finish a card with the first image you send an email requesting the second image. There's a total of four of which some of them are sets with more than one image. It's a fantastic deal so if you haven't signed up at CDAC I would encourage you too.

The first image for the challenge is by Nana Vic and it's an umbrella. Pretty befitting for today's weather. I used a background paper by Auntie Social which I dotted randomly with Glossy Accents to make it look rain slicked. I added some buttons from my stash and a ribbon from Target. All the CS is Recollections.

A close up of the rain drops and buttons...

For the inside I used a Gecko Galz image from the Dancers Collage Sheet. I tinted it orange to go with the card, added the same DP for the background, and the Glossy Accents. Then to dress my dancer up a bit I added some Stickles to her swim top and bottom wrap, the jewelry and her lei.

And here's a close up of the dancer, I had a hard time getting the color right in the picture for you but you get the idea.

OK I'm going to go grab my rain stick and my cape and go change the weather! I NEED SUNSHINE!!!!!

Love ya,
~Deb~

  5. Deb, i love your card and background papers. I agree , I want sunshine. An Arizona girl in Washington State where it is cloudy and cold. I am used to warm and sunshine. Something just does not compute and now we are on our way to Canada which is further north. This is not good for someone who lives and loves sunshine LOL. Love your blog Sweetie, It makes me smile everytime I come here. hugs,Cathy K

  6. Very pretty and clever. I think after Easter it's nice to have the sunshine we are getting as Easter was wet. I shouldn't complain though, it is Autumn here. x
