Birthday Cake Explosion

This week I've been working on an explosion box with a cake inside. I like how it turned out but I can see a few mistakes. We are always the most critical of our own work aren't we. So here's some pics of it. If your interested in how I did it, post a comment telling me and I'll do a tutorial after Thanksgiving.

I made a couple more "cakes" to do some more boxes. You could also leave out the cake and make the traditional explosion box album but I wanted something a bit different to use as a gift. Everyone likes cake and this one has no calories!

Supplies:
Chipboard
Recollections Turquoise Sheen CS
DCWV Floral CS
Recollections floral border punch
Flowers from Michael's and some made with Sizzix 3D Die Cuts
Turquoise and silver ribbon from the Paper Studio
Pink ribbon from stash
Recollections candle embellishments
Sentiments by Mary's Mixes, Scribbles by Sandy, and Platypus Creek Digitals
recycled ribbon spools

Love ya,
~Deb~
